How to care for your Paraveso socks

Custom-printed photo socks look amazing for years — but only if you wash them right. Treat them like the photo-printed garment they are.

The 4-rule guide

  1. Turn inside out before washing. Protects the printed surface from rubbing against zippers, jeans, etc.
  2. Wash cold with similar colors. Cold water keeps prints sharp longer.
  3. Tumble dry low or air dry. High heat fades prints over time.
  4. No bleach, no fabric softener, no iron on the print. These are the three main print killers.

Detailed care

Washing

  • Machine wash cold (≤30°C / 85°F)
  • Use a gentle detergent — anything fragrance-free or "for delicates" works
  • Avoid bleach (chlorine and oxygen-based both)
  • Skip fabric softener — coats the print and dulls colors over time
  • Wash inside out, ideally inside a mesh laundry bag for extra protection

Drying

  • Tumble dry low heat, OR
  • Lay flat to air dry, OR
  • Hang from the cuff (not the toe)
  • Avoid direct sunlight when air-drying outdoors

Storage

  • Store in a drawer, not on a hanger
  • Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight

Ironing

  • If you must iron, do it only on the inside of the sock (not the printed surface), on low heat
  • Honestly, just don't iron them — combed cotton drops wrinkles fast

How long do the prints last?

With proper care: 50+ wash cycles with no noticeable fading. We use professional-grade dye sublimation inks bonded into the fabric (not printed on top), so the color is part of the fabric itself.

Something went wrong?

Print started cracking, fading early, or peeling? That's a defect, not normal wear — email hello@paraveso.com with photos within 14 days and we'll print a replacement free.
